How do I recover my file bar in Office 2003.

Word 2003 is minimized to 2/3 of a page. However, it indicates that it is
maximized. When I minimize it, it gets very small. So I do not know how to
make it full screen. I tried to select full screen under view, but this did
not fix the problem. It did cause my file bar to disappear (file, edit,
view, favorites, etc.). I can type in AltF and get the file box to drop down
from the top my screen, but it is not connected to the Word page. It comes
up at the top of the screen by itself. Please help!

Hi

There are two separate things going on here. And what's going on depends on
whether you have ticked the box at Tools > Options > View > "Windows in Task
bar". Just to get you back on the straight and narrow, make sure that box is
ticked.

One issue is the size of the Window in which Word resides. To change that,
find the blue Word logo at the very top left of the window, just to the left
of the name of your document. Click that logo and choose Maximize. If the
window already is maximized, then the Maximize option will be greyed out.

The other issue is how you view the document that is running within Word. To
change that, use the View menu.

Hope this helps.
