Hey Stephen, Sorry i can't help you more but all i can suggest is make sure the whole path looks something like this "...\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\ONENOTEM.exe" /tsr The other thing is try install the service packs for One Note ore create your own shortcut in the startup folder which points to "ONENOTEM.exe" /tsr then reboot and see if it comes up with the side notes still.
