Product Key? Jenn 11.07.2006 00:31:02 My laptop recently crashed and I need to reinstall my office student/teacher edition. I had originally converted it online after my trial expired. Now in order to reinstall it, I need the product key and can't find it. Is there any way to find this product key now?

I searched my email and it automatically erases after a year. So, nope I don't have it in email. I thought it should be on the case somewhere, but I can't find it. I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way to get the key from Microsoft if they have record of the online conversion because I'm sure they have record of mailing me the CD. I realize that I should have printed the email, but I didn't so before paying the $149.00 for a new one, I thought I'd double check just to make sure. I am an HONEST person! If they kept a record about who owns which version of their software all hell would break loose. I'm a bit confused about your original post. If Outlook, then look for an archive .pst and open it in Outlook (File->Open->Outlook Data file) and look for your email there. Then copy it to your notes where it should be available - as well as print it out and keep it with your valuables. I would burn a copy of the installation files as well, then mark the PID on the CD.
