Error 1935 (HRESULT 0x900700B7) Installing Office Pro Beta 2 on Wi
Anaerin 13.07.2006 00:12:02
Using Windows XP Home (SP2), and trying to install the recently released
Office Professional Plus 2007 (Beta), and I get the following error:

"Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component
{37E71C43-4792-4E44-9A43-7CC7F11D6736}. HRESULT: 0x800700B7.

Setup failed. Rolling back changes..."

And in Event Viewer I get:

Product: Microsoft Office Professional 2007 (Beta) -- Error 1935.An error
occurred during the installation of assembly component
{37E71C43-4792-4E44-9A43-7CC7F11D6736}. HRESULT: 0x800700B7. assembly
interface: IAssemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, assembly name:
Microsoft.VisualStudio.ManagedInterfaces,fileVersion="8.0.50727.42",version="8.0.0.000000",culture="neutral",publicKeyToken="B03F5F7F11D50A3A",processorArchitecture="MSIL"

I have Microsoft Visual Web Developer installed on this machine, but nothing
else related to Visual Studio.

When this setup has finished rolling back (Which is taking a long while),
I'll try ensuring VWD isn't running and try to install again (I recieved an
empty prompt about applications to stop, and after "Retry"ing a few times,
told it to "Ignore" instead).

Oh, and why is there problems writing to C:\Config.msi\? The installer
complains regularly, but hitting "Retry" always allows it to continue.
Perhaps there should be an automatic retry... :)

I got the same error only I use windows vista beta 2, but I installed on a
windows xp sp2

think is the windows
Installer with the problem ..try to install the latest version uninstall the
one you use ...I can't do theat wit my vista
but you can try that...I hope it will work.. and if someone has eny ideea
how to do the same with vista ...if I'm rong
then is a permition problem with writeing of that C:\Config.msi ..I
tink...best of enything you wish! (sorry for the bad grama...)
