When I log onto my computer or when I try to open an Office program, and Outlook 2002, the Install program comes up. When I try to run Setup I get this message: This patch package could not be opened. Verify that this patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package. The inbox repair tool won't fix the problem. I don't know it these are related. A tech tried to do a recovery yesterday then reversed it when Outlook bombed out and the inbox repair tool didn 't work for him. I can't use word or access 2002, but I can bring up Access 2003 a stand alone program. Whenever I open Microsoft programs, even IE, the install screen comes up and read my Office CD then closes. Whenever I log on I get a message that a file that the registry needs has a problem, and that recovery was successful. It is difficult to remember all of the messages becuase I can't just copy and paste them into an editor.
