Way to interact with database from multiple locations "erick-flores" <chunkyflores[ at ]hotmail.com> 13.07.2006 21:57:50 Hello all I have multiple forms that are attached to a MS Access db. I want to send the form with the database to my customers, so they can have their own records of what they have sent so far. The problem is that the database will lost the connection source, because obviously the database connection is pointing to a source in my computer. So my question is, is there a way to setup the database to its own source or soemthing like that, so when I send the forms with the database this kind of problem will not happend. Maybe put everything together and compile it as one file...I really do not know how this can be done, is it even possible? PLeaseeeee helppp, thank you

Now Open the Form in the design mode and go to Tools|Dataconnections and select the dataconnection and click on modify and then follow the instructions there of. In this way you can set the location of the database to its new location. Also if i want my forms to be secure the customers will not be even allow to switch to design view. But anyways thank you and if somebody have a suggestion or comment please let me know

Re: Way to interact with database from multiple locations Esther 14.07.2006 23:38:02 It sounds like you might do better exporting these from a Crystal report - you can send the data with the forms themselves, or even push them out to a website to view. Have you used this program before? It does an excellent job with things like this.
