Count entries
Geoff 14.07.2006 15:43:01
I am working on a form linked to an access database and wish to use
information from the database to audit performance. What i need to do is
count the number of cells in a column on the database that contain a
particular word or phrase (i.e "Replace chain") against the number of
recordson query.

EG. 5 out of 15 records contain "Replace chain" in the Chain wear column so
i need to show the term "Replace chain" = 5 or 33%. The "Replace chain" will
be in a drop down list populated by the column in the database so the string
is valid.

hope someone can help

Sounds like you need to do this on the database end for best results... perhaps you should ask this in the SQL newsgroup.
