DAP in a subform?
Kevin 06.07.2006 15:51:02
I am new to data access pages, but I'm wondering if a DAP can be inserted as
a subform. I want to utilize the ability to expand and collapse various
levels of data as in a subdatasheet, and subdatasheets in subforms have some
limitations.

If this is possible, is there the usual linking of master and child fields
between the mainform and subform?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Short answer: No, a DAP cannot be used as a subform.

You can simulate a subform by using frames. For example if you have a
top frame for an Invoice Header and a bottom frame for the Invoice Line
Items.
You also need to use cookies to track the Invoice number or you could
create a hyperlink on the Invoice Header and use a server filter for
the invoice number.
