I have selfstanding Word 2000 running on Spanish language WinXP-sp2. Spelling and Grammar are both disabled, and for years I’ve had no trouble. But lately my writing is interrupted constantly by notices telling me that Autocorrect is not installed; that the route of access to Word 2000 cannot be found; that I have errors 1603 y 1706. It asks for the original disc again, but that process yields nothing.
Otherwise Word 2000 continues to work fine. I do not have the Office program; Word is tucked into an Office folder as DATA1, MS1, which I assume is standard procedure.
My question: Would the problem be solved by upgrading Word? If so, should I uninstall Word 2000 first?
