Favorites in Excel sphbecker 01.06.2006 20:50:02 In Excel 2002, the Common Dialog box (the thing that pops up when you do File-Open) had a shortcut to Favorites. A few users really became accustom to using that and are wondering how to enable that feature in Excel 2003 (where it does not appear by default). I looked around a little bit and didn’t see an option. How is this done?

Click on that and you'll see a "add to my places" option. You can traverse to any folder and add it to "my places". When active, hit Tools>Add to "My Places".
