Some of our old documents, however, have settings for an old printer that conflict with the new printer (eg. paper bins. The old printer plain paper was Drawer 2 and the new one is drawer 5). Whenever one of the old documents are opened, the old printer drawer 2 setting is still there instead of the new printer setting of drawer 5 (plain paper). To clarify this mess, paper bins were statically set instead of leaving settings at default. Is there a setting in Word I can make that will maintain the new printer defaults?
