Command no longer executes

We have an inherited macro we have run for years, using Access 2000 and 2002.
We just upgraded to 2003 and now the macro won't run. It stops on a line with
the command "Mid$([Customer/Acct],14,9)". Any idea if this command no longer
works or works differently than in prior versions?

That isn't a command it is a function so I'm guessing it is in a Where
criteria for a macro command. What command is that?
Try taking the $ out.
