Message to multiusers to log off

Hi

I have split my database as suggested on this group. I want to be able to
send a message to my users to log off in case I need to update. I will try
to keep this to out of hours but we can be 24hours manned and users are in
many different offices. I tried a message macro and assigned a shortcut key
but in only shows the message on my machine. Any help would be appriciated.

One approach I've used is to have a table to store any pending messages, and
have the application check that table regularly, such as using a timer on
your switchboard
