I am not able to find any ocx for Graph 8 in Access97. I've tried uninstalling Office97, and reinstalling it and the control is still not being registered properly. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks David G.

Graph 8 is installed during Access setup, there is an option in setup
to insert it - use menu insert-object, then select "Microsoft graph chart"

I've done this about 6 times with no success. I've uninstalled all of Office97 and then re-installed, Unistalled again, tried to remove references from regsitry-which really got me in trouble. When I next tried an install I got an error message about not being able to properly update the registry. I reloaded a registry back up to get me back to where I was 2 days ago. I've tried a reinstall of Office97...still no graph8!!!!
I am really upset with MS at this point. There is no reason that registering this activex file should be so difficult. There is nothing on their website (as far as I've been able to search) to help either. I am betting that the problem lies in all the garbage references left in the registry by Office products. I could not believe all the outdated crap from Office I found in my registry.
Anyway, I don't know what to do next, so I will keep trying to reinstall until the #%% thing works.

Hi, could also be, that you have other office installed, say office 2000, or XP, which also has its own graph, and if graph with higher version is installed - then graph from office 97 is not installed anymore

I uninstalled all my office software. I reinstalled 97 (Excel and Access -including the Graph feature) then reinstalled Outlook, Word, and powerpoint 2003. It still doesn't work.
Anything else you might think of would be greatly appreciated.
