Which I guess is a roundabout way of adding a 'Text Form Field'.
Do this: View menu > Toolbars > 'Forms'
The Forms toolbar has buttons for adding text form fields, drop-downs, etc.
Add a form field, then right-click and choose Properties to enter a prompt (default text), select the allowed input etc.
