I screwed up my InBoxer, Help
darren <darren.229w36[ at ]NoSpamPleaze.com> 27.01.2006 02:06:01
Hi,
I got a new computer and reloaded my copy of Outlook 02 onto it. Then I draged my pst files directly from the Application data folder on my old computer. When I attempted to load Inboxer (all versions) Outlook crashes and then makes me disable the addin. I've tried erasing the extend.dat file to no avail. I've reinstalled Outlook-- no luck.
After crashing Outlook needs to scan my Personal Folder (data) because it isn't shut down right. I'm thinking that some vestiges are left in these folders of InBoxer. I don't know. Any ideas? -- darrenPosted from - http://www.officehelp.in

May be your pst file has got corrupt. You can repair it using scanpst.exe
scanpst.exe is in Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\ ... and a
further subfolder, depending
upon, langauge / parameters chosen during installation. Locate it or
alternatively Give a search in explorer
for 'sacnpst.exe'.
First close oulook. Double click on scanpst.exe to open it.
Click on browse and point to your pst file, then click on start.
Scanpst may take several minutes (10 to 30) depending upon
the size of .pst file. It will repair the .pst file. After it is repaired
try opening outlook again.

Still couldn't get inboxer to work.
I'll just try a different 3rd party spam blocker. -- darrenPosted from - http://www.officehelp.in
